History of the construction of the pyramids
The
main reason for building the pyramids is the burial of the Kings of
the Pharaohs. That is why they are related in Egyptian myths to the
world of the dead, knowing that the number of pyramids in Egypt is
about 138 pyramids, the largest of which is Khufu (one of the seven
wonders of the ancient world), and it is believed that the Pyramid of
Djoser is the oldest pyramids in Egypt; As its construction dates
back to the 27th century BC.
How
to build pyramids
In
building the pyramids, the Pharaohs needed much manpower. Where
approximately 2000-3000 men participated in the construction of the
pyramid of Khufu during a long period of up to 23 years, it is worth
noting that the pyramids were built of limestone as a basis on the
ground, while they used basalt stone and granite in building the tops
of the pyramids that were They are sometimes painted with gold, and
they used various tools in the building, such as copper chisels, and
granite hammers; To cut stones and transport them to the place of
building the pyramids by means of a lubricated pillar, as evidenced
by the sculptures in one of the ancient Egyptian tombs; As these
sculptures show 173 men pulling stones with a greased pillar, while
the large stones were raised to their place in the pyramid by brick
stairs, where they are covered with wax; To make it easier to pull it
up. [1] The way the pyramids were built secretly, they were not
announced until a mural was discovered in the tomb of Djehutihotep
(English: Djehutihotep); The mural shows a man pouring water in front
of the sled on the sand, and this explains the method used by the
ancient Egyptians; To move the heavy stones used in building the
pyramids; Where they were spraying sand with water; So the stones on
the latch is easy to transport and pull them
